Classic Typewriter

Could this be the weekend to finally start working on that novel? We just released a brand-new Item that might help 🙂

Thanks for the heads up Sean!

Anyone found one yet and care to share what kind of Spot it was at?

Update (Aug 4, 2010 – 12:38 PST): It’s been found at a University, a Bookstore and a High School.

Coming Soon: Ordered Trips

At around 13 minutes into the latest The Big Web Show, Josh Williams (Gowalla CEO) talks about future plans for Gowalla Trips. He revealed that they are working on ordered/progressive Trips where checking in to one place will reveal the next Spot. Very cool idea. I’ll be excited to see this implemented and to see how people take advantage of it.

New Spot: Church of St. Nicholas

Church of St. Nicholas

Prague, Czech Republic

Looks like Gowalla might have made a little mistake with this one. I got this tip from Martin Hassman:

Gowalla made probably mistake. They painted icon of the church on the west riverbank, but put it at the spot with church on the eastern riverbank. (The roof of both Churches is similar, but you can easily recognize differences)

1.5 Million Spots!

July 28, 2010 2 comments

Unfortunatly Gowalla has taken away access to a lot of the information on Spots (like who created it and when) so I’m not exactly sure when the 1,500,000 Spot went up, but it was pretty recent.

The Whiterow Farm Shop in Beckington is the winner of this coveted spot.
