Gowalla for Android Beta

Gowalla has released the first public beta of the Android app on their Get Satisfaction site.

According to Gowalla CEO Josh Williams, “Technically, we are calling this beta release 0.1. We will release a more fully featured beta to the Marketplace before the end of the month.”

Josh Williams, CEO of Alamofire, has posted a screenshot of the upcoming Gowalla Android app along with this tidbit about it’s release:

A native first-party Android app is in development. Our goal is to release the first beta within a couple weeks with a near final beta build available in late February.

Interesting that the coloring and interface is so different from the iPhone version. Looks like they are taking time to make all their apps feel very native to their platforms.
